Published: 22 September 2015

Prof. Bruce Lennox, Dean of Science, congratulates Professors Mathieu Blanchette (School of Computer Science), Matt Dobbs (Department of Physics), and Hans Larsson (Redpath Museum) from the Faculty of Science. They are three of forty-eight new members of The Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.

Established in 1882, the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) is Canada’s National Academy and exists to promote Canadian research and scholarly accomplishment in both official languages, to recognize academic and artistic excellence, and to advise governments, non-governmental organizations and Canadians on matters of public interest. The RSC’s College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists represents the emerging generation of scholarly, scientific and artistic leadership in Canada. Together, the members of the College will address issues of particular concern  for the advancement of understanding and the benefit of society.
