At McGill we are fortunate to have a First Peoples' House that comprises part
of the Student Housing Community. Located in an attractive red stone building
adjacent to the main campus, the House offers a comfortable and spacious
atmosphere and is also home to the First Peoples' student lounge/resource
centre. More information can be found on the First Peoples'
House website.

Like our other shared-facilities houses, First Peoples' House offers students the privacy of their own bedroom along with the attraction of communal living, with large kitchens and common rooms where housemates gather to dine, study, watch TV or just hang out together.
Priority for accommodation at First Peoples' House is given to Aboriginal students (graduate and undergraduate) who sign a lease by July 1. Any remaining spaces are made available to graduate students. The number of spaces available each year varies, as resident students may renew their lease for the duration of their full-time studies at McGill.
- co-ed house
- single and double bedrooms
- Monthly rent (2008/2009): $559 to $750 depending on room size
Please see the General Information page for details on leases, rent payment, etc.
Aboriginal students (graduate or undergraduate) as well as any other graduate students interested in living at First Peoples' House should contact the Graduate Housing Office directly.
