Finding an Industry Partner
Our OSR Officers are routinely meeting with and in contact with companies locally, nationally and internationally.
Whether through established long term partnerships or proactive meetings with new companies in and around Montreal, the OSR is continuously building and maintaining industrial partnerships - from the small company to the large multi-national, from international companies wanting to start doing business in Montreal to government contracts.
International Companies: we actively liaise and organize meetings with large and small international companies that work with organizations like Montreal International, DFAIT, and the foreign embassies. Organizations that want to link their foreign industrial clients with McGill’s expertise and services. These efforts regularly result in face-to-face meetings with our researchers.
Multi-Nationals: we are the primary contacts for industry trade associations and large organizations that actively solicit research bids and/or wish to develop partnerships.
Small and Medium Sized Companies: we leverage our involvement with IRAP, the Reseau Canadien de technologie, and our linkages with TransTech, to work better with small Quebec based companies. We are also directly linked to these organizations through timely on-line system requesting services and expertise.
Government: we utilize services like MERX to proactively identify and post opportunities for research funding and services.
