The mission of the Ministère de l’Économie, Science et Innovation (MESI) is to support economic development in Quebec, innovation and export trade by ensuring coordination and cooperation between various stakeholders from economic, scientific, social and cultural fields with a view toward job creation, economic prosperity and sustainable development.

 


Programme de soutien à la recherche (PSR)

 

Soutien à des initiatives internationales de recherche et d'innovation (SIIRI) - Volet 4

This program aims to foster international partnerships for innovation between academia and industry in specific priority areas and targeted countries/regions. Involvement of a Quebec industrial partner is mandatory and they must contribute a minimum of 20% cash to the Quebec budget. Depending on the type of project, the value ranges from $150,000 to $1.5M and MEIE funds must be matched 1 to 1 in co-funding (cash). Competitions are held approximately once per year.

Volet 2b – Technological Maturation Support/Soutien aux projets structurants – Projets de maturation technologique - PSVT (volet 2b)

The MEIE funding can reach up to $400,000, covering up to 80% of admissible expenses. This is conditional on a minimum contribution of 20% from other project partners, either in cash or in-kind.
