Au Revoir, but not Goodbye: VP Rosie Goldstein ends term June 30

Published: 29 June 2017

Dear colleagues,

Today marks the end of my tenure as Vice-Principal (Research and Innovation) at McGill University. It has been an honour and a deeply enriching experience to serve McGill and its research community for nearly seven years in this role.

Over the past weeks and months, many people have asked me what I plan to do next. Although the Research and Innovation team gave me a lovely McGill oar as a parting gift, I will not be rowing off into the sunset any time soon.

First, I will take six months of administrative leave, during which I will recharge and think carefully about what projects and initiatives to tackle going forward. Having returned home in 2010, I will continue to live in Montreal, and I intend to remain involved in the McGill and Montreal communities. I like to say, however, that I am excited about stepping away from full-time “over-employment.”

Please do not hesitate to contact me personally at rose [dot] goldstein [at] mcgill [dot] ca. Follow me on Twitter @Rosie_Goldstein. Questions or requests for information about McGill’s research enterprise or innovation agenda should be sent to research [at] mcgill [dot] ca.

Thank you again to everyone who supported me and, more importantly, who continue to support McGill’s incredible researchers. I look forward to seeing all the accomplishments to come.

Wishing you all a healthy and refreshing summer!

Warm regards,

Rosie

Dr. Rosie Goldstein, MD, CM, FRCPC
