New Dean of Education confirmed

The Faculty of Education went to great lengths to find a new Dean —15,461 km, to be precise. Roger Slee will be leaving his twin posts of Dean of the Faculty of Education and Head of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Western Australia in Brisbane to come to the significantly chillier climes of Montreal.

Slee, whose five-year appointment was confirmed by the Board of Governors on November 24, will be taking over the position from Ratna Ghosh on January 17. He is an internationally recognized expert on inclusive education, and has served as a consultant to government and educational agencies. He is the founding editor of the International Journal of Inclusive Education and Deputy Director of the Queensland Department of Education.

Dean Slee is currently in Australia. The Reporter will publish a longer article on him early next year.
