Innovation is no longer a choice!
Models such as 22@Barcelona in Spain, Corridor Manchester in the United Kingdom, and Boston’s Innovation District in the United States have demonstrated the explosion of Innovative Districts around the world.
MSI: Smart and Sustainable Grids
Initiated by l’École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) and McGill University to position Montreal as a bona fide hub of innovation locally and internationally, the “Quartier de l’innovation” (QI) seeks to be at the forefront of the best practices in innovation. Within this context, the QI organizes the “Montreal Summit on Innovation” (MSI) , whose two previous editions focused on Aerospace and Innovative Districts.
Throughout the year the Quartier de l’innovation and McGill University will be organizing and participating in a number of high-profile events in order to spread the word about this transformative initiative.
The QI organizes yearly:
Live, learn, work, play and innovate
The QI is not research park: in the heart of the city, it represents a dynamic, creative platform dedicated to the needs of Montreal, Quebec and Canadian actors in innovation. It is first and foremost a vision for creating a higher quality of life and a showcase for innovation in urban renewal, design, architecture, and construction as well as sustainable development and corporate and community relations.
