Dr. Gabriella Gobbi's Research applauded by national and international media
Dr. Gabriella Gobbi’s recent revolutionary research, “Father Absence in the Monogamous California Mouse Impairs Social Behavior and Modifies Dopamine and Glutamate Synapses in the Medial Prefrontal Cortex” (Cerebral CORTEX, Oxford Journals) highlighting the importance of fathers in both neurobiology and behavior of offspring has been featured by numerous media outlets. Dr. Gobbi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience and has dedicates her career to the search for novel treatments for mental diseases and to alleviating suffering in people with severe depression. She has over 2300 citations in the field of fundamental and clinical psychopharmacology and has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in high impact journals. She is also the holder of two patents concerning novel psychotropic drugs.
