Academic Policy Committee

The APC develops proposals for the establishment and continuous renewal of academic programs, policies, and structures. Other work focuses on issues related to teaching, learning, and research. The APC is a standing committee of Senate.

Committee on Academic Staff Compensation

Prof. Anthony C. Masi, Provost CASC is is a parity committee of McGill senior administrators and representatives from the McGill Association of University Teachers.
APC Subcommittee on Courses and Teaching Programs Deputy Provost (Student Life & Learning) This subcommittee is charged with the evaluation of proposals for new teaching programs and revisions to existing programs.
APC Subcommittee on Teaching and Learning Deputy Provost (Student Life & Learning) This subcommittee works to enhance teaching and learning at McGill.
Committee on Enrolment and Student Affairs Deputy Provost (Student Life & Learning) The Committee on Enrolment and Student Affairs is responsible for developing policies affecting course timtabling, student records, academic calendering, academic integrity, student advising, student awards and bursaries, and admission policies.
Senate Committee on Libraries Associate Provost (Academic Staff & Priority Initiatives) SCL works to align Library policies with the University's strategic plans and academic priorities.
Joint Board-Senate Committee on Equity Associate Provost Lydia White, Associate Provost (Policies, Procedures & Equity) JBSCE develops University policy regarding under-represented groups, including women, visible minorities, aboriginal peoples, and persons with disabilities.
Council of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Prof. Martin Kreiswirth, Associate Provost (Graduate Education) and Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies The Council oversees policy, participates in strategic planning exercises, and reviews program proposals related to graduate and postdoctoral studies.
