Olivier Di Pietrantonio

I recently graduated from McGill University with a B.A majoring in psychology. I am currently back at McGill taking various courses in preparation for grad school. I am very excited to be conducting a research project in the King lab over the course of this upcoming year. My research project will be focusing on the potential role prenatal maternal stress plays in the development of thought disorders in the adolescent from Project Ice Storm. More specifically, I will attempt to determine whether prenatal maternal stress has led these children to be born with certain vulnerabilities that, when combined with life stressors later on, lead to the development of thought disorders.

I am greatly interested in clinical psychology, and plan to pursue a degree in this field. I hope to one day be able to work as a clinical psychologist and help better the lives of those struggling with mental illness.
