In December 2013, the Research Group is pleased to announce the publication of two books, both edited by Professors Frédéric Bachand & Fabien Gélinas: D'une réforme à une autre : Regards croisés sur l'arbitrage au Québec (Éditions Yvon Blais, 2013, 665 pages) and The UNCITRAL Model Law after Twenty-Five Years: Global Perspectives on International Commercial Arbitration (JurisNet, 2013, 380 pages).

 
On May 24, 2013, the Faculty of Law hosted a Conference on the Cost-effectiveness and Efficacy of Commercial Arbitration. The Private Justice & the Rule of Law research group was proud to host George Bermann, Jean Monnet Professor of EU Law and Walter Gellhorn Professor of Law at Columbia Law School, who delivered the Faculty’s annual John E.C. 2012 McGill Dispute Resolution Lecture Series
