Core courses, Units 7 and 8, BOM:
The Department of Pathology contributes to multidisciplinary Units 7 and 8. The curriculum is an interdisciplinary, clinically based program designed to increase the integration of clinical and basic sciences and promote active learner participation in the education process.

The Department provides four-week electives for medical students after completion of Unit 8 of the Basis of Medicine. The Pathology elective is structured to acquaint students with disease processes by the study of surgical pathology, cytology, and autopsy material and to correlate the clinical and pathological abnormalities.
