Fellowship in Reproductive Ultrasound
Note: Applications are not being accepted for this fellowship for the 2012-2013 academic year
This two-year program provides the trainee with an understanding of the indications of an ultrasound examination, ability to perform a pelvic scan safely and competently and to report the findings in the clinical context of reproductive medicine.
Fellows will become familiar with diagnosis and medical and surgical management of various gynecologic and reproductive disorders including chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, and pelvic mass. They will have an understanding of alternative non-surgical management, when and how to operate. They will learn how to prepare a patient before surgery, and to follow the patient post-operatively. They will learn how to avoid and manage complications.
Fellows are expected to conduct research and publish their results.
