They recently carried out a multi-site, randomized trial of Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Citalopram in patients with stable coronary artery disease that was funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and have just finished conducting a trial of omega-3 fatty acid for depression.
Dr. Frasure-Smith is also a consultant on a South African study of genetic and environmental factors in hypertension and on an NHLBI (US) pilot study of depression treatment for cardiac patients.
