B.Sc. Kinesiology

This is a four year (120 credit) program. Students who have completed Quebec CEGEP, French Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate, or at least one year of university studies are normally enrolled in a three year (90 credit) program. Those entering the four-year (120 credit) program are in Year 0 and will follow the "Freshman" profile. Those entering the three-year program are in Year 1 and will follow the First Year profile.

Program Advising will be addressed by e-mail or by scheduling an appointment with the  Student Adviser (nada [dot] abu-merhy [at] mcgill [dot] ca).

Students are required to attend the Department Orientation Session on TBA.


Year 0 - Freshman Year


Freshman students should register for the following courses:

Fall term:
- BIOL 111
- CHEM 110
- MATH 139 (or MATH 140 or MATH 150)
- PHYS 101 (or PHYS 131)

Winter term:
- BIOL 112
- CHEM 120
- MATH 141 (or MATH 151)
- PHYS 102 (or PHYS 142)


Year 1 - First Year Profile (Major Kinesiology)


Year 1 students should register for the following courses:

Fall term:
- ANAT 315
- EDKP 261
- EDKP 292
- EDKP 330
- PHGY 209

Winter term:
- ANAT 316
- CHEM 212
- EDKP 206
- EDKP 250
- PHGY 210 

Note: Some courses have corresponding Lab or Conference sections. Please check the NOTES under each course on the Minerva Class Schedule for this information and then register in the Lecture section and the Lab (or Conference) section simultaneously. (Use Quick Add when registering on Minerva.)

If you completed Organic Chemistry I or a Statistics course at the CEGEP level, an Exemption without credit will appear on your Unofficial Transcript on Minerva by the beginning of November.
