B.Ed. Kindergarten and Elementary Education
Year 0 - Freshman Year
Students are required to attend the Freshman Year advising session on Wednesday, August 27, 11:00 a.m., Education Building, Room 216.
Students should refer to the Kindergarten and Elementary new student website for Freshman Program course selection advice, program information and up to date information on adviser availability.
Students may have their course selection for Fall 2014 and Winter 2015 approved as soon as they have registered on Minerva. This may be done by e-mail or at the advising session. Students should e-mail Advisedise [dot] education [at] mcgill [dot] ca. Please include your name, student number and the e-mail subject heading “Freshman Course Selection”. Please make sure to use your McGill e-mail address. We can access your registration so it is not necessary for you to type in the courses in your email. We will verify your course selection and email you a confirmation within 4-5 business days.
Year 1 - First Year Profile
Students are required to attend an Advising Session during CSI (CEGEP Student Information Day) on Thursday, June 5 or Thursday, August 28, 9:30 a.m., Education Building, Room 216.
Year 1 students should register for the following courses:
- EDFE 200 section 002 (First Field Experience)
- EDEC 201 (First Year Professional Seminar)
- EDEC 203
- EDEC 215 (English Exam for Teacher Certification)
- EDEC 248 or EDEC 233 or EDEC 249
- EDEC 260 or EDEC 261
- EDPE 300
Registration Tip: Check the Class Schedule on Minerva to find the CRNs (Course Reference Numbers) for EDFE 200 section 002 and EDEC 201. In the Registration Menu select Quick Add and enter the CRNs for both courses.
