Over the next few months, these great volunteers will visit business leaders to ask for their support, solicit a corporate donation and urge them to hold a Centraide workplace campaign for their employees.

Centraide Campaign 2011, which officially begins on September 22, will be supported by 23,000 volunteers. As well, 50 executives lent or sponsored by corporations and other organizations will provide support and strategic advice to the organizers of the 1,700 workplace campaigns.

The involvement of the business community is essential to the success of Centraide’s campaign. The majority of the funds raised (85% of donations in 2010) come from corporations and their employees.

Centraide of Greater Montreal is a philanthropic organization that raises donations from individuals and corporations to support a vast network of 360 community agencies dedicated to helping people and families in a situation of poverty in Laval, in Montreal and on the South Shore.
