Park properly on Dr. Penfield or risk a ticket
The City of Montreal has observed that some motorists are taking advantage of Dr. Penfield Ave. being partially closed and are double- and in some cases triple-parking along Dr. Penfield, between the McTavish St. intersection and the Genome Building to the northeast.
This, as they say, must stop. And the City will, in addition to establishing on Oct. 24 a no-parking zone near the Genome Building to facilitate deliveries, begin to ticket motorists who are improperly parked on Penfield. It is, the City points out, a matter of public safety. Parking is permitted only in a single file on Penfield.
Normal parking should resume on Penfield once the project to repair and replace water mains and sewers on Pine Ave. is completed in about three weeks’ time and the City of Montreal has asked that motorists please be patient until that occurs.
