Published: 11 April 2011

Blueliner Cathy Chartrand, a senior from Lac Nominingue, and rookie forward Katia Clément-Heydra of St. Bruno de Montarville, have each added two pieces of silverware to their trophy cases, heading a list of McGill University women’s hockey awards announced by head coach Peter Smith.

Chartrand, an all-Canadian who captained the Martlets to their third CIS national championship, was named as the team’s most valuable player and the most outstanding defenceman. Clement-Heydra received trophies for being the team’s top scorer and rookie of the year.
