McGill Expert Alert: Parents on the hook for $11 million for former students’ school arson

Story: The families of two former students who set fire to their high school in Berthierville, Que., have agreed to pay $11 million to the Quebec government in an out-of-court settlement. Experts say the families would either have to pay off their debts for the rest of their lives or declare bankruptcy.
