Who says you can't be a great student and a great jock at the same time? Okay, it's true that most of us can't -- but, as it happens, a whole lot of McGill students excel in both. In fact, last year McGill set a new national record by racking up 147 All-Canadians.

A quartet of students were flown in from up north to complete their Certificate in Northern Social Work Practice before funding dries up. McGill's program is unique in the world in that it is the only one in which courses are offered in the students' first language, Inuttitut.

Christine Dolden: Jumping into the fire

As administrative officer in the Department of Medicine and the MUHC, Christine Dolden handles vacation schedules and appointment forms and manages office space for nearly 700 staff. She recently won the Anne McCormick Award for Excellence in the Faculty of Medicine.
