The MWC will be offering tutoring on the downtown campus and also online via the Microsoft Teams platform.
Microsoft Teams is available for free to students through Office 365. You will need to register for an appointment using your McGill email. Before you make your first appointment, we strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with Microsoft Teams features.
Appointments will be booked in the usual manner through the McGill Writing Centre’s online schedule: https://mwcschedule.mcgill.ca/. At the time of your appointment, your tutor will invite you to a Teams meeting for your session.

The McGill Writing Centre Tutorial Service provides writing support for students. Our tutors will work with you at any stage of the writing process, from outlining to final revision, providing guidance on how to:
- organize your ideas
- express yourself clearly
- make convincing arguments
- reach the right audience
- identify and eliminate common grammatical errors
Please note that the Tutorial Service is not a drop-off proofreading and editing service. Accordingly, tutors will not “correct” your draft assignments. Rather, tutors will model structurally and grammatically coherent sentences and paragraphs with a view to empowering you to learn how to write clear, concise, and engaging prose.
