Form Forum II: Focus on Cadence—a sequel to the Form Forum held at the University of Toronto, November 2013—is devoted to issues of form and closure in music of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The conference consists largely of workshops led by music theorists specializing in the theory of musical form.  The conference will open with a keynote address and conclude with a special presentation and round-table discussion.

Keynote Address:  Julian Horton (University of Durham)

Workshop Leaders:  William Caplin (Schulich School of Music), Nathan John Martin (Yale University), Julie Pedneault-Deslauriers (University of Ottawa), Janet Schmalfeldt (Tufts University), and Steven Vande Moortele (University of Toronto)

Special Presentation:  Markus Neuwirth (University of Leuven)

Registration (deadline: January 9, 2015): Conference attendees are asked to register for the conference on the registration form.  There is no registration fee.
