Advising and Programs
Detail information on the requirements for each music program can be found on the eCalendar.
You will be given a degree audit form on the Advising Day for New Students in your first year at the Schulich School of Music. Be sure to meet your advisor on the Advising Day to pick up the degree audit form. You may also obtain this form from the Music Student Affairs Office.
*The degree audit form is a more accurate tool to monitor your program progress than the Degree Evaluation form on MINERVA. Please refer to our degree audit form or the eCalendar when reviewing for program requirements.
The Music Student Affairs Office is available year-round to offer support and guidance. To schedule an advising appointment, you may reach us by one of the following methods:

ADVISING FOR NEWLY ADMITTED AND RETURNING STUDENTS FOR FALL 2014
IMPORTANT: All newly admitted students must attend the Discovery McGill Orientation and the Advising Day by Area of Studies on August 26 and August 29 respectively.
Returning students may pick up an updated Degree Requirement Form during this advising period. Distribution will take place during the drop-in advising period from September 2, 2014 to September 10, 2014.
If you incur debts which relate to registration to a previous term, you must contact either the Student Aid Office or the Student Accounts Office to make payment plans and to have the registation hold temporarily removed to allow for registration. Failure to do so will lead to the current term's course registration being cancelled.
In order for practical instruction or voice coaching (MUIN courses) to be assigned, you are required to submit a Practical Instruction Request Form online.
Drop-in advising sessions for the 2014-2015 academic year will take place in the east wing of the Stratchcona Music Building, in room E-209, beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Please drop by the advising room during the assigned period. You will be seen by an Academic Advisor on a first-come-first-serve basis.
