Simone McIntosh to appear in Vancouver Opera lead role
Simone McIntosh (M.Mus 2017) continues her streak of successes with an upcoming appearance singing the title role in Rossini's "La Cenerentola." The production, which will be put on by Vancouver Opera in the spring, will be McIntosh's first mainstage appearance in a lead role.

Congratulations are in order for Claire de Sévigné (B.Mus 2009), who will appear in the Canadian Opera Company's production of Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio as character Blonde. "Women, Work and Song" at Marvin Duchow Library
An exciting new exhibit can be explored through the Marvin Duchow Library at McGill University – "Women, Work and Song in Nineteeth-Century France."
The exhibit explores the evolving role of women in the popular song industry of the era, and includes many pieces from the 19th-century French sheet music collection of the Library.

Students, alumni and faculty in Chile with Global Leaders Program
Currently, Dr. Lisa Lorenzino, Professor of Music Education, is in southern Chile with seven current and former Schulich School of Music Students as part of the Youth Orchestra of the Americas Global Leaders Program. After three days of seminars and meetings, the students have moved to a variety of locations throughout southern Chile to keep students active in free after-school music programs designed to empower youth.
