Esteli Gomez and Brian Losch are the latest Schulich Grads to win Grammys

Esteli Gomez received GRAMMY Award in the Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble

Esteli Gomez received a GRAMMY Award in the Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance Category with her ensemble A Roomful of Teeth.  While at Schulich, soprano Esteli Gomez studied with Prof. Sanford Sylvan.  Her ensemble’s self-titled debut album, was  nominated in three categories- Best Engineer for Classical Album, Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance, and Best Contemporary Classical Composition for Caroline Shaw’s Partita for 8 voices.

Sound Recording Program GraduateBrian Losch  won in the category of Best Engineered Album, Classical for Winter Morning Walks for his work with Dawn Upshaw, Maria Schneider, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra.  This album also won in the categories of  Best Contemporary Classical Composition and Best Classical Vocal Solo.
