Robert Hasegawa, Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Area Chair for Music Theory at the Schulich School of Music, has received the 'Emerging Scholar Award' at the 2016 Society for Music Theory conference held in Vancouver. His article “Clashing Harmonic Systems in Haas’s Blumenstück and in vain” was published in the journal Music Theory Spectrum 37/2 (Fall 2015). The Emerging Scholar Award (Article) is given for an article published no more than seven calendar years after the author’s receipt of the Ph.D.
