401 Research Projects
McGill School of Environment senior research projects (ENVR 401) focus on actual problems and challenges faced by businesses, non-governmental organizations, private property owners and/or government agencies. Students work on interdisciplinary teams along with a client outside the academic community, under the direction of a McGill faculty member/supervisor. This capstone course is taken in a student’s last year, and involves problem definition, development of rigorous research methodology, ethical research approval, execution of the study, and dissemination of results to the research community and to the people affected. Overwhelmingly our clients have been impressed with the level of expertise, creativity and professionalism shown by our students.
