MMEP Research Teams

Reflecting the international and multi-organizational involvement in MMEP, there are three country-specific research committees, consisting in scholars drawn from academic institutions and NGO executives. The role of these committees is to provide overall direction to the research that will be conducted by two individuals in each country. The research committees consist in the scholars and practitioners indicated below, with leadership from Dr. Torczyner provided to each of the individual committees:

Palestinian research committee:
Dr. Varsen Aghabekian, Consultant
Dr. Sami Al Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, An Najah National University; Founding Director of the An Najah Community Service Centre
Professor Hussein Ahmad Youseff, An Najah National University

Jordanian research committee:
Ms. Eman Nimri, Consultant with AED/CSP Strengthening Civil Society Program
Mr. Talal Qdah, University of Jordan

Israeli research committee:
Professor Jimmy Weinblatt, President, The Sapir Academic College
Dr. Merav Moshe Grodofsky , The Sapir Academic College
Mrs. Barbara Epstein, National Executive Director, Community Advocacy Israel

Junior scholars and graduate students participate in research projects as well, contributing to their career and skills development. Many MMEP Fellows have written their graduate research papers on various aspects of the RBCP model and its application in the centres.
