Research

The Mining Engineering program generates approximately $1,000,000 for research per year. Mining research is funded generously by collaborating global mining companies, including AngloGold Ashanti, Agnico Eagle, Barrick, BHP Billiton, DeBeers and Newmont Mining, Vale, and Vale Inco.

There are three main topics of research in our department:
