History
The McGill Nanotools Microfab facility was initiated from a CFI grant obtained by a group of researchers at McGill in 2000. Three years later, in 2003, the Nanotools was inaugurated and opened to users. From 2008 to 2023, with continuous investment from federal and provincial government, Nanotools staff further developed and enriched the services, equipment and processes at Nanotools. The Nanotools became the core facility at McGill for Micro- and Nano research, serving more than 120 users and supporting more than 100 projects each year.
