The McGill Middle East Studies Students' Association (MESSA) is the undergraduate student organization, with board members from Middle East Studies, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Economics, Anthropology, History, Jewish Studies and other disciplines. MESSA publishes annually the McGill Journal of Middle East Studies. The Journal aims to publish new academic scholarship on the modern Middle East broadly understood, with a particular focus on the region's politics and a particular interest in multi and interdisciplinary approaches. Contributors come from McGill University and beyond, primarily graduate and undergraduate students.
