Event Services

The Special Events Office is the Faculty of Medicine headquarters for planning and coordinating special events. These are namely for and on behalf of the Vice-Principal (Health Affairs) and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Depending on the nature of the event, the Special Events Office team will assist and advise on event protocol, cost and budget management, program design, conception and production, logistical coordination, facility use and design, and event promotion.

Additionally, the Special Events Office is responsible for managing the Faculty of Medicine Event Calendar, advising the Office of the Vice-Principal on catering, gifts for guests, sponsors, donors, etc., and reviewing table purchases (Galas) and/or sponsorships for various community or external events. Listed below are a few examples of events we organize:

  • Development and Alumni Relations (Homecoming, Dean’s Rounds, Chair announcements, Donor Stewardship events)
  • Medical events open to the general public (lectures, tours and meetings)
  • Medical events involving McGill VIPs and Senior Executives (conferences and meetings)
  • Convocation, White Coat Ceremony and Medical Galas
  • Open House

The Special Events Office is located at 3605 de la Montagne, at the northeast corner of avenue du Docteur-Penfield.
