Important Information for all applicants

Verification of information submitted

McGill University reserves the right to require official academic records at any time during the admissions process, and rescind any offer of admission made if discrepancies between unofficial and official records(s) are found.  As well, the University may verify any information provided by applicants and has the authority to cancel an application, withdraw an offer, or cancel a registration at any time if false information has been provided.

Disclosure

No information whatsoever on the status of your application will be shared with anyone inquiring on your behalf without the applicant's express written authorization. You may authorize the disclosure of information related to your application to one or more persons via the online application system or later in the process by email to the Admissions Office.

Name discrepancies

Please notify the Admissions Office if there will be any name discrepancies or variations among any of the official documents, especially transcripts or MCAT results. Failure to do so may result in an incomplete admission file.

Reapplication

Applicants to the Med-P program may only apply once to the program. Applicants to the M.D.,C.M. or its combined programs programs who were not admitted and who wish to reapply must submit a new application.  Supporting documentation from previous applications are not retained for any future applications.  Every application cycle is treated anew.  Those who submit their application a third time are rarely successful and are discouraged from doing so unless there are truly significant changes that have had a major impact on the quality of their candidacy.
