
The Department will provide 'top-up' funding of $4000 to any new Masters student beginning her/his program with an NSERC Scholarship (PGSM, CGSM). Please contact the Graduate Program Director for further information.
The McGill Engineering Doctoral Award (MEDA) is a recently created program in the Faculty of Engineering at McGill University which aims to recruit the best and brightest new doctoral students from all over the world. Selection for this award is based on the excellence of a student’s academic and research record, including publications, presentations and his or her potential to make a major impact on the quality of research in the Faculty of Engineering at McGill University and in the field of engineering. There are two types of MEDAs:
- Leveraged Package
- Direct Package
To be eligible for this award students MUST submit their application and supporting document before January 15.
The McGill Engineering International Doctoral Award(MEITA) provides competitive recruitment funding to attract high calibre international doctoral students to the Faculty of Engineering by contributing to the cost of their international PhD tuition supplement fee.
The GREAT Travel Award [.pdf] is designed to assist our graduate students with their travels to present their research at conference meetings. In order to be eligible, you must be registered full-time in the Ph.D. or M.Eng (Thesis) program, in good academic standing, and not in time limitation (i.e. Ph.D. 1-6, M.Eng 1-3).
