Products purchased are for personal/institutional use and not for resale.
Due to our status as an educational reseller, we are restricted to selling to current members of the McGill community (faculty, staff and students) as well as McGill affiliated teaching hospitals. We regret that we are unable to sell Microsoft software licenses, Adobe software licenses, or educationally priced Dell products to McGill affiliated hospitals or their staff. However, we are able to order retail versions of both Microsoft and Adobe software for McGill affiliated hospitals and staff. Some restrictions apply to the Hewlett Packard we can sell to hospitals.
Valid staff, faculty or student McGill ID must be presented for all purchases made at the MCS. If an identification card is not available another form of official institutional academic identification must be provided such as a letter of acceptance or course transcript.
We accept Interac (debit card), MasterCard, Visa, American Express, money orders, certified cheques and cash.

Please include your department, name, shipping address, phone number, complete FOAPAL, and the product you wish to order.
There are no returns on open hardware, software, consumables or special order items. All refunds will be credited in the same method as original payment. Customer satisfaction return policies are determined by the manufacturer, not the McGill Computer Store.
Hardware and supplies purchased at the McGill Computer Store may be refunded/exchanged within 15 calendar days from date of purchase, provided they are unused and are in the original factory sealed packaging.
Returns of special ordered items will be subject to the above restrictions plus a 20% restocking charge.
All configured-to-order, personalized or other customized products may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances unless deemed defective under the manufacturer's policies.
Manufacturer guidelines apply for defective hardware returns. All original packaging materials must be returned.
All software license sales are final.
Due to copyright laws, there are no returns on opened software. Defective software may be exchanged for the same (or equivalent product if the same product has been discontinued) within 15 days of purchase. Thereafter it is the customers' sole responsibility to deal with the original manufacturer.
"Special order" refers to any item not normally kept in our inventory.
Customers will be notified when their special orders arrive. Orders will be kept for 30 days, after which they will be returned to the manufacturer and the deposit will be forfeited.
Items may be placed on hold for two business days. After this they will be returned to stock or sold to another customer.
We do our best to provide you with the most up-to-date and accurate information. In the event that an error does occur, we reserve the right to correct or cancel an order at any time, and/or edit an order to reflect the correction, and/or correct the error on our web site.
Prices are subject to change without notice. We make every effort to maintain up to date pricing on our website, however we do recommend that you call or email us to verify before placing your order.
Listed prices do not include applicable taxes.
We deliver on campus! For departmental purchases, delivery to locations on main or MacDonald campus is free. Courier shipment of goods can be arranged for personal purchases. Prices are dependant on weight and ship-to destination.
