Alex Laudrup is a lawyer based in Copenhagen, Denmark and specializing in transportation, insurance and reinsurance. Educated at the University of Copenhagen (Candidatus juris, 1972) and the U.S.A. (studies in 1969), Alex was admitted to the Danish Bar in 1975, and obtained a Right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court in 1985. Alex is a Managing Director of Shipowners' Council of Copenhagen, the President of the Danish Branch of Comité Maritime International (The Danish Association of Maritime Law) and the Danish branch of International Law Association. He is also a Member of the Maritime law Committee under the Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, as well as the member of the Swedish Association of Maritime Law and International Bar Association. Alex has more than 30 years of experience in transportation law and often acts as an arbitrator. Alex also co-authored the summary of carriage of goods by sea law for Denmark with Irene Larsen for Prof. Tetley’s latest book Marine Cargo Claims, 4 Ed., 2008.

Educated at the University of Aarhus, Denmark (Candidata juris, 2001) and McGill University (LL.M., 2001), Irene was admitted to the Danish Bar in 2006. Irene is an associate at the Danish firm of Gorrissen Federspiel Kierkegaard and is a Teacher at Maersk International Shipping Education (MISE). Irene speaks Danish and English and she co-authored the summary of carriage of goods by sea law for Denmark with Alex Laudrup for Prof. Tetley’s latest book Marine Cargo Claims, 4 Ed., 2008.
