Do you struggle with communicating your research to different audiences? SKILLSETS in collaboration with the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (FAES) is excited to launch the first year of the Lister Family Engaged Science Initiative. This year, there are numerous workshops available to help you improve your science communication skills.

Talking It Up Without Dumbing It Down Workshop Series (3-workshops)

This workshop series is designed to teach faculty members and graduate students effective ways to explain their research to a variety of audiences. These workshops offer participants the opportunity to develop personalized research pitches and present their work effectively in written, oral, and visual platforms.

In the third and final workshop for this session, visual aids for Communication, participants will learn methods of using visual elements to enhance explanation of their research. Some mediums addressed in this session include infographics, photography, figures, charts, and film.
