Nearly 60% of the drugs on the market today are derived from specialized plant metabolites. Guest speaker ISABEL DESGAGNE-PENIX, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, will discuss how, with the increasing demand for pharmaceuticals, understanding and, ultimately, controlling specialized plant metabolism will be essential.
