Staff in this unit acquire and catalogue print and electronic serial library acquisitions for all branches of the McGill Library.

The unit is responsible for:

• all requisitions (subscription and non-subscription)
• serials cataloguing
• changes/updates to serials records and volume holdings
• all non-subscription orders for serials, charged to monograph funds, e.g. backfiles, annuals and directories purchased at lengthy intervals
• all subscription orders
• all orders charged to subscription funds, e.g. backfiles ordered at the time of ordering a new subscription
