The Electronic Resources and Serial Services unit is responsible for serials work related to the purchase of print and electronic serials for all 16 McGill University Libraries. The unit has responsibility for the following activities:

• all requisitions (subscription and not subscription)
• serials cataloguing
• changes/updates to serials records and volume holdings
• all non-subscription orders for serials, charged to monograph funds, e.g. backfiles, annuals and directories purchased at lengthy intervals
• all subscription orders
• all orders charged to subscription funds, e.g. backfiles ordered at the time of ordering a new subscription
