Borrowing in person at other universities

Information for graduate students, faculty and staff

Graduate students, faculty and staff of McGill University can borrow items in person from participating Canadian libraries (or see list by by province), subject to restrictions determined by individual libraries. To do so, you must first obtain a CREPUQ card (Conférence des Recteurs et des Principaux des Universités du Québec), which you will have to present, along with your McGill ID card, to the library from which you want to borrow. The CREPUQ card will give you undergraduate borrowing privileges in that library. The CREPUQ cards are available from the Loans Desk of any McGill branch library during regular service hours.

Information for McGill undergraduate students

Undergraduate students and faculty of McGill University can borrow items in person from participating Quebec libraries, subject to restrictions determined by individual libraries. To do so, you must first obtain a CREPUQ card (Conférence des Recteurs et des Principaux des Universités du Québec), which you will have to present, along with your McGill ID card, to the library from which you want to borrow. The CREPUQ card will allow you to borrow up to three volumes for a maximum of 14 days, non-renewable, from that library.The CREPUQ cards are available from the Loans Desk of any McGill branch library during regular service hours.
