Logging on to databases and resources

In most cases, as long as you are using a computer on the McGill network or are using McGill's wireless network, you can access databases and resources without needed to login. If you are off-campus, you can still access these resources using EZproxy or VPN.

However, due to licensing restrictions, there are a few electronic resources where you will need to create an account and/or login again before you can access them. Details are provided in the sections that follow.

Azimut

Azimut requires a new password every school year. Register to receive your userid and password on the screen. Note that student codes work only from law faculty machines during weekdays but from anywhere evenings and weekends. Books 24/7

Access is restricted to McGill IP addresses. Users must also register individually with Books24x7. Registration is free for McGill students and staff, but you must use a McGill email address to register, i.e. an email address that ends with @mcgill.ca or @*.mcgill.ca. A password will be emailed to you shortly after you register.
