This section contains borrowing information for McGill Alumni

• You must purchase an alumni membership card in order to borrow items from the Library

• Alumni basics chart: loan periods, number of renewals and number of loan items allowed, overdue and recall fine rates
• Your library account: renew items online, check for overdue fines, see what you have borrowed, change your Library PIN, request items out to other users
• Email notices: be aware of this important policy!

• Recall notices: when someone has requested the item you have borrowed

• Renewing items: how and where
• Returning items: where to bring library items when you are done
• Overdue items: how and where to pay fines, maximum overdue fines, blocks on your account, waiving of fines
• Lost or damaged items: replacement costs

• You can visit the Library and use our services at no charge.
• You can read library materials, and can access electronic resources on the Library's computers using a guest sign-in.
• You can access from home a limited range of the online resources to which the Library has access including e-books and e-journals in all disciplinary areas.An alumni membership card is not required to access these online resources.
