Returning items

In general, books may be returned to any McGill Library branch.

Exceptions: The following items must be returned to the branch from which they were borrowed:

• Course reserves, A/V material, journals, maps, laptops, eReaders and equipment
• Non-book materials (kits, puppets, etc.) from the Education Library and Curriculum Resources Centre

Please note: laptops and iPads must be returned to a staff member during service hours.

Returning items after-hours

After-hours return bins are available at the following branches:

• Humanities and Social Sciences Library
• Schulich Library of Science and Engineering
• Macdonald Campus Library
