Database of records describing the Olympic Collection. The collection consists of six groups of material: the main body pertains to the Olympic Games from their rebirth up to 1996 (both summer and winter games); three sections concern the Pan American Games (1955-1995), the Commonwealth Games (1930-1994), and reports of the sessions and meetings of the International Olympic Committee (1964-1996), as well as the reports and publications of the International Olympic Academy. The final section consists of a collection of books dealing with the Olympics. The collection consists of over 4500 items and occupies 60 linear metres of shelf space. There are 400 titles in the monograph collection. Documents appear in eighteen languages.
