Primary Material

Books

  • McGill University's Library Catalogue lists the printed holdings in the various branches of the McGill Library, as well as electronic, microform and audio-visual material. Good for locating both primary and secondary material. Tip: Click on the "Sub-catalogues" tab near the top, scroll to the section "Libraries and collections" and select "Osler Library" to see only results held by the Osler Library (good way to limit a search to history of medicine and eliminate general medicine results)
  • McGill offers a second library catalogue, McGill WorldCat. This one is more up-to-date with our electronic holdings.
