Inspired by the Latin for “Let there be light,” the Fiat Lux feasibility study is the culmination of an exhaustive process to reimagine the McGill Library to meet the evolving needs of 21st century students. The prudent but ambitious plan would rebuild the Redpath Library Building and install an Automated Storage and Retrieval System underneath the lower field, creating an innovative and flexible Library that will serve as the heart of the campus.
