Collection policies
The mission of the Collections services in the McGill Libraries is to build and maintain collections of quality, in traditional and digital formats, through the selection and management of library resources required to support the University's programs of teaching and research.
McGill faculty may contact one or more of the liaison librarians to discuss or recommend new acquisitions or library collections in general. To do so, please consult the following list of liaison librarians.
Gifts
The McGill Libraries receive and process thousands of gifts each year, including books, periodicals, videos and other library materials. These gifts help the Libraries to add depth to the collections, replace worn-out or lost volumes and add copies of heavily used titles. To donate materials, please contact the relevant branch library.
