To avoid incorrect billing and unnecessary interest charges, please submit your legal documents as early as possible prior to the term for which you are requesting an update to your tuition status.
The final deadlines for submitting complete required documents to prove Quebec residency are the following:
- For Summer Session courses: August 15
- For Fall and Winter Session courses: Last Day of Classes (http://www.mcgill.ca/importantdates/key-dates)
Note that for changes to take effect for the current term, all proofs of citizenship, requests for Québec residency, and immigration status changes must be received by the end of the last day of classes for that current term. Complete files submitted after that date will only serve to lower your fees commencing the following term.
If you do not agree with the assessment of your fee residency status (e.g. international, Canadian, or Quebec), notify us as soon as possible. We cannot accept changes or offer you a lower tuition rate after the last day of classes at the end of term, as the Quebec Government does not allow us to amend our files retroactively.
